The pic on the left is a view from the beach looking up towards the Sitka Spruce groves that line most of Battle Rock Beach. The first image below shows Cabbage Rock with Battle Rock Park in the background. On the upper right is a similar photo but this time highlighting some of the stones that lined the beach. In the full sized image (click to enlarge) you can see some red jasper and other colored beach rocks. The last two pics below are views looking back towards the previous photo location. The next set of images were shot just south of the large seastack seen in the last two images above. In the first photo you can see the ocean mist rising from the beach. The last two photos are a bit dark but look neat when viewed full size. The seastack in the middle photo is called Monkey Rock, Humbug Mountain is seen looming in the last photo below. The photos below are a few more of my favorite Jerry pics from the day. The scenery in the photos are quite interesting if viewed close; notice the rocks and their varied colors and textures, the driftwood and dried kelp, and the contrasting green shore pine seen in the middle image. Below are more reflection images from our January 14 beach visit. I'm closing today's update with a few photos of the beach right below Battle Rock Park. The first pic below shows some green serpentine rock on the eroding hillside. The middle picture is a beach level view looking east. The last image is a zoomed view as seen from the park.
