Pics of the Day for July 9 and 10

Monday's Pic of the Day
Monday, 07-10-2000. Clear and sunny again this morning. I said we would be visiting Humbug Mountain State Park today but that will have to wait until tomorrow, the feature isn't quite ready yet. I have some more pics from Battle Rock Park that we'll enjoy today. Our first photo shows some groups enjoying a beautiful day on Battle Rock Beach.

The next sit of images below are action shots of folks having fun on the beach.

The set of photos below from left to right show some photographers snapping some pics from Battle Rock Park, a wide angle view of Battle Rock Park, beach, Humbug, and Port Orford Cove, and the last is Seagulls feeding along the Battle Rock Beach surfline.

Tomorrow we'll begin our Humbug Mountain State Park feature. I filled several discs with images of the campground, picnic area, Brush Creek, Humbug Mountain, and the adjacent beach! 

Sunday's Pic of the Day
Sunday, 07-09-2000. Clear and sunny this morning. We're going to have a quick update today because I'm going to Humbug Park this morning for pictures and stories for next week's Pic of the Day spots. Today we feature recent pics from Battle Rock Park. Our first 2 photos shows a Coast Guard cutter with a heavily loaded commercial boat in the foreground. The local Coast Guard station is located in Coos Bay. Several times a day a Coast Guard helicopter will fly over on maneuvers. The Southern Oregon Coast relies heavily on our Coast Guard contingency.

This next set of images show a deserted Battle Rock Beach and Humbug Mountain as seen from Battle Rock Park.
